Malaysia bans Zim and Israeli-flagged vessels from its ports

The Malaysian government has announced an immediate ban on all Zim vessels from docking at its ports, along with all Israeli-flagged ships, as the Gaza war continues to impact the shipping industry.

The ban also covers any ships travelling to Israel from loading cargo at Malaysian ports. 

Israeli shipping company Zim has been able to dock at Malaysian ports since 2002 but the Malaysian government has now reversed this decision owing to its position on the Gaza war.
