Noatum Terminals, the terminals operations business of Noatum Group, has acquired 100% ownership of APM Terminals (APMT) Castellón in Spain for an Enterprise Value (EV) of €10m (US$11m).
With all regulatory and stakeholder approvals already obtained, the change of ownership will take place effective immediately with Noatum’s combined annual capacity at Castellón growing to 250,000 teu or 70% of the Port of Castellón’s container capacity.
Furthermore, the two terminals, which cover 250,000 sq m combined, can also handle 2m tonnes of bulk cargo alongside roll-on roll-off (ro-ro) and are connected via direct rail links to the hinterland and serve the Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa regions.
