DP World has signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the government of Gujarat worth INR250bn (US$3bn) to develop new ports, terminals and special economic zones (SEZs) in the Indian state.
The multi-purpose deep-draught ports will be in south Gujarat and the western coast of the state towards Kutch, which along with the city of Jamnagar will be one of the SEZs.
Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals (GCT) and Private Freight Stations will also be developed at Dahej, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bedi and Morbi.
