Port of Tanger Med enjoys 13% jump in container volumes

Tanger Med Port handled 8,617,410 teu last year, representing a rise of 13%, which puts Moroccan hub on the Strait of Gibraltar four years ahead of its target.

The total throughput processed by the port is equivalent to 95% of its nominal capacity.

The port authority attributed the result to the successful operations of terminals TC1 and TC4, managed by APM Terminals, and the continuous development of terminal TC3, operated by Tanger Alliance.
