ICTSI Oregon to receive US$20.5m settlement following ILWU dispute

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and ICTSI Oregon have reached a settlement of their long-running litigation, with the terminal operator to receive a payment of US$20.5m.

The settlement resolves all ICTSI’s claims against ILWU relating to the decade-long litigation captioned ICTSI Oregon, Inc. v. International Longshore and Warehouse Union, et al., Case No. 3:12-cv-1058-SI, pending in the US District Court for the District of Oregon.

During the case, a jury determined that ILWU and ILWU Local 8 engaged in unlawful labour practices.
