Ulsan Port completes green methanol ship-to-ship bunkering

Ulsan Port and South Korea’s ministry of oceans and fisheries have completed the world’s first ship-to-ship (STS) supply of green methanol to a container ship of 16,000 teu in capacity.

The ocean and fisheries ministry established the safety guidelines and accumulated know-how through two methanol supply demonstrations with Ulsan Port Authority in July and November last year.
