The electricity at APM Terminals (APMT) Callao is now sourced from 100% renewable energy sources, as the operator transitions its container handling equipment from fossil fuels to fully electric.
The terminal, which has invested more than US$5m in decarbonisation initiatives since 2021, is on track to achieve a 36% reduction in emissions by 2024, 55% by 2030 and 100% by 2040.
