Konecranes saw its port solutions order intake decrease by 51% to €248m (US$266m) in the first quarter of 2024 but sales increased by 10% to reach almost €300m (US$322m).
The Finnish manufacturer received less orders from the Americas and the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions, as well as the Asia-Pacific (APAC) as the order book fell by 10% to €1.6bn (US$1.8bn).
EBIT grew by 19% to €19.5m (US$21m), the operating margin rose slightly to 6.5% and Konecranes received a R&D subsidy of €2.1m (US$2.3m).
