Khorfakkan Container Terminal increases volumes with plans to further economic growth
Gulftainer has announced that the Khorfakkan Container Terminal (KCT) has witnessed volumes growth, increased container handling capacity and services expansion, reflecting a surge in operations and containership calls, which will aim to boost local prosperity by driving community wellbeing and business growth.
The UAE-based operator plans to reinforce KCT’s position as key trade facilitator in the global supply chain and logistics industry and support social development by focusing on generating tangible economic benefits for Khorfakkan, in line with Sharjah’s social development plan.
Sharjah’s strategic plan for 2023-2025 aims to cultivate a culture of quality living, community solidarity and economic empowerment, with the efforts in Khorfakkan demonstrating how business growth can complement social development, noted Gulftainer.
