The Port of Greenock has welcomed the first of two ship-to-shore (STS) cranes worth £25m (US$32m) in a bid to boost productivity at the facility.
Work will begin shortly to install the 72m tall crane at the port and it will be fully operational later this year following testing.
The 932 tonne structure was transported to the port following a one-day journey from Cork, Ireland, where the crane was built, and the second crane is due to arrive in the coming months.
