Porto Itapoá handles over 500,000 teu in first five months of 2024

Porto Itapoá has reached the milestone of 500,000 teu in the first five months of this year and set a new monthly record for dry imports, handling 37,562 teu in May. 

Felipe Fiovaranti Kaufmann, director of business development and customer experience at Porto Itapoá, said: “We handled 102,270 teu, marking the third-largest monthly volume recorded. In April, we broke our historical monthly record with 107,475 teu.” 

Crossdocking, the operation where cargo is transferred directly from the container to the customer’s truck or vice versa, reached a record high of 918 teu.
