SAAM Terminals has committed to the training of new crane operators and retraining current ones with improvement exercises, having invested US$500,000 in a state-of-the-art simulator from CM Labs Simulators.
The company’s team at its San Vicente Terminal Internacional (SVTI) port in Chile have already been trained in Canada.
Gastón Moya, SVP human resources and sustainability for SAAM Terminals, said: “This equipment is pioneering in the Chilean Port industry. It offers ground-breaking graphic realism and accurately emulates the movements and forces applied during crane operations.
