APMT Moin reduces empty reefer inspections from 40 to four minutes
APM Terminals (APMT) Moin has reduced empty reefer inspections from 40 to four minutes thanks to Lean principles and a new reefer inspection express lane.
For empty reefers exiting the terminal, headed directly to farms, trucks now pass through a finely tuned and fast inspection process.
APMT claimed that the improved process has resulted in almost zero waiting times, no reworks and transportation costs have been considerably improved.
