Busan New Port orders 34 new transfer cranes from HJSC

Busan New Port West Container Terminal has contracted HJ Shipbuilding & Construction (HJSC) to manufacture and install 34 transfer cranes as part of its Phase 2-6 crane installation project, reflecting an investment of KRW187bn (US$135m).

This project follows Busan New Port Pier 7 (Phase 2-5), which upon opening in April became South Korea’s first fully automated terminal.

The multinational constructor was also involved in Phase 2-5 of the project, overseeing both the construction work and the installation of transfer cranes.
