The Port of Los Angeles (LA) has completed construction of a major rail project at Pier 400 that will increase cargo flow, reduce emissions and improve roadway safety.
By increasing use of the Pier 400 on-dock rail yard, the project is expected to create additional rail capacity for all Port of LA terminal operators.
Port of LA executive director Gene Seroka said: “This US$73m rail project will increase cargo efficiency while reducing emissions – a cornerstone of the port’s blueprint for sustainable growth.
