Porto Itapoá has acquired a new fleet of 20 electric terminal tractors (eTTs) for R$20m (US$3.6m) as part of the port’s expansion process.
Each vehicle can carry up to 65 tonnes and has a range of 150 km, equivalent to approximately 10 hours of work.
The investment means that Porto Itapoá has the largest fleet of eTTs among Brazilian port terminals.
