Port Houston has surpassed the 2m teu mark faster than ever as volumes increase 13% year-on-year for the first half of 2024 compared to the same period last year.
Through the first six months of the year, the port has successfully handled 2,098,117 teu among its terminals.
For June specifically volumes were up 7% at 339,157 teu as the port received an additional six rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) hybrid-electric cranes, the fourth of five total deliveries for this year.
