Freeport East has formed a strategic partnership with Innovating for Transport and Energy Systems (ITES) to advance clean transport technologies and boost bilateral trade between the UK and India.
The collaboration aims to transform green transport solutions and attract significant private sector investment, leveraging Freeport East’s mandate for net zero and integrating this with ITES’ international partnership approach to create scalable models of public-private collaboration for other freeports and publicly funded programmes.
ITES, a programme led by UK energy innovation experts Energy Systems Catapult with the Indian Institute of Science, focuses on advancing technologies, business models and infrastructures, which includes promoting alternative fuels, battery and energy storage systems, green hydrogen and electric charging methods.
