Yilport Latam has inaugurated Berth 6 and a new container yard at Puerto Bolívar, Ecuador on July 31, marking a significant milestone in the modernisation of the terminal.
The total investment of over US$400m is the first step in an ambitious phase of strategic development, designed to improve the operational capacity of a terminal dating back to 1941.
The most notable improvements are the construction of Berth 6, which includes the extension of 450 m of new berth, 1m teu capacity of new container yard and equipment that will enable the maximum handling capacity of the yard.
