Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) concluded the first half of 2024 with positive figures for revenue and earnings, driven by a rise in container handling and container transport.
Container throughput at HHLA’s container terminals were up 2% compared to the same period last year to reach 2.9m teu, with the company’s Hamburg terminals accounting for 2.8m teu.
This positive trend was primarily due to the North, South and Central America shipping regions with cargo volumes in the US recording a particularly substantial increase.
