Cólon Container Terminal (CCT) has added 12 new hybrid rubber tyred gantry (RTG) cranes to its equipment fleet, representing an investment of US$23m.
Capable of stowing up to five containers in height plus an additional one, the new RTGs are expected to help wait times and capable costs, in addition to increasing the terminal’s handling capacity.
William Elliot, president of CCT, said: “The addition of these 12 hybrid RTG equipment, manufactured by ZPMC, demonstrates our strong commitment to the sustainability and modernisation of our operations.
