The Port of Gothenburg has inaugurated a brand new 144,000 sq m port terminal, representing an investment of approximately €60m (US$66m).
Designed to meet the increased transportation needs of the Swedish industry, the expansion has been under construction for the past six years.
Göran Eriksson, CEO of the Port of Gothenburg, said: “The terminal began planning as early as the 1990s and then we talked about future-proofing.
