COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry and COSCO Shipping Container Lines have signed a contract for the construction of 12 dual-fuel methanol container ships, each with a capacity of 14,000 teu.
The vessels, which are jointly developed the China Shipbuilding and Ocean Engineering Design and Research Institute, have a length of 335.9 m, a width of 51 m and an invisible bulb bow and stern energy-saving device.
The ships offer a large loading capacity of 13,700 standard containers and a high loading capacity for reefer containers to provide high quality, end-to-end cold chain services to customers worldwide.
