Stockholm Norvik Port receives new automated container loader
Stockholm Norvik Port has received a new automated container loader that will help to increase the capacity at Ports of Stockholm and enhance the service to meet the needs of the Swedish export industry for containerisation of cargo.
The equipment arrived by sea from Latvia with Stena Line at the end of August and the automated functions make it one of the most advanced solutions for goods transhipment in Sweden.
Ports of Stockholm’s stevedoring team can now load 30 tonnes of goods into a 40 ft container in five minutes.
