The proposed import tariffs implemented by Donald Trump if he became US president would cause the cost of ocean shipping goods to increase in a repeat of the market spike during his first term as president, according to Xeneta.
Trump defended his trade policy during the Presidential Debate on September 10, which includes blanket tariffs of up to 20% of all imports and additional tariffs of 60-100% on goods from China.
