South Carolina Ports (SC Ports) has announced that Hugh K. Leatherman Terminal will resume container operations in support of ZIM’s major weekly Asia service set to begin early next month.
The ZIM Mount Blanc vessel, which has a capacity of 15,000 teu and is powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), is scheduled to call Leatherman Terminal on October 6 on the ZCP service that will connect Asia with the US Southeast Coast consumer market.
The service, which also caters for MSC and Maersk, offers direct Charleston calls with Qingdao, Ningbo, Shaghai, Busan, Kingston, Charleston, Savannah, Norfolk, Kingston, Busan and Qingdao.
