Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) will receive 116 Konecranes lithium-ion (Li-ion) automated guided vehicles (AGVs) at its Container Terminal Burchardkai (CTB) facility as part of its transition to a fully electric, automated horizontal transport system.
The largest ever single order for Konecranes Gottwald AGVs was booked in 2022 and deliveries will continue through next year, which will take HHLA’s total Konecranes AGV fleet to more than 200 vehicles and support the German operator in becoming more efficient and reaching carbon neutrality by 2040.
The order also includes 20 automated charging stations, a battery management system, a safety system and TEAMS equipment control software.
