PSA unboXed to trial Amperesand solid-state transformer technology at Singapore
PSA unboXed, the external innovation and corporate venture capital arm of PSA International, has joined forces with grid infrastructure solutions provider Amperesand to trial solid-state transformer (SST) technology its Singapore facility.
he collaboration is part of PSA’s planned charging facilities for its fleet of electric prime movers (PMs) and aims to enhance port decarbonisation and promoting sustainable logistics practices.
The SST solutions feature silicon carbide devices and proprietary high-frequency modules, ensuring power flow with higher efficiency and reduced grid strain in a compact form factor.
