Container throughput at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges was up 7% in the first nine months of 2024 due to sustained demand for container transport.
The growth seen in the first half of the year continued into the third quarter leading to a 12% increase in containers handled compared to the same quarter last year.
Port of Antwerp-Bruges handled just over 10m teu over the first half of the year, increasing its market share in container handling in the Hamburg – Le Havre range to 30.7%.
