The Port of Montreal Longshoremen’s Union (CUPE Local 375) have begun an unlimited strike starting October 31, which will affect the two container terminals operated by Termont – the Viau and Maisonnueve terminals.
Access to the terminal will be prohibited, according to an update posted by the Port of Montreal, and no rail, truck or ship services will be provided.
The Bickerdike, Cast, Racine, and CanEst container terminals will remain in service, as will the Logistec dry bulk terminals, the liquid bulk terminals and the grain terminal.
