Hapag-Lloyd has christened the Hamburg Express, the eponymous flagship of its Hamburg Express class, at Container Terminal Burchardkai (CTB) in the Port of Hamburg.
The vessel is the seventh ship in a series of 12 newbuilds being built at the Hanwha Ocean shipyard in South Korea.
The container ships, with a length of 399 m and capacity of 23,660 teu, are the largest to ever sail under the German flag.
