Port of Gothenburg predicts record 2024 year

The Port of Gothenburg expects 2024 to beat 2023’s record year in terms of container handling as it sees a 1% increase year-on-year in volumes for the first three quarters of the year. 

Gothenburg handled 685,000 teu during this period, which is 8,000 more than the same period in the record year of 2023. 

The handling of laden containers was up 5% during this period, although the handling of empty containers decreased significantly and had a noticeable impact on the total numbers.
