Maersk has announced that London Gateway has been chosen instead of the Port of Felixstowe as the UK hub for its Asia-Europe services on the Cape of Good Hope network as part of Gemini Cooperation collaboration with Hapag-Lloyd.
The change from the existing network to the Network of the Future will take place from February 2025 as part of the phasing out of the current 2M cooperation and phasing in of the new network of the Gemini Cooperation.
The change will affect the Asia-Europe trades under the scope of the Gemini Cooperation but the previously announced Middle East-Europe and trans-Atlantic services at London Gateway and Southampton remain unchanged.
