Port Houston is on track for 2024 to be one of its most successful years to date, having handled just under 3.8m teu through November, up 9% year-on-year, as November volumes alone increase 24%.
In November, Port Houston handled 369,361 teu with loaded imports up 19%, driven by consumer goods and machinery, while loaded exports were up 16% the same month, reinforced by robust resin shipments.
Resins account for 35% of the port’s export volumes, underscoring Houston’s role as the nation’s top gateway for this essential commodity.
