AD Ports Group has appointed Hassan Allam Construction to build the infrastructure of Noatum Ports – Safaga Terminal on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, which will be the first internationally operated port terminal in the Upper Egypt region.
The terminal will have 450,000 teu capacity encompassing an area of 810,000 sq m, as well as 5m tonnes dry bulk and general cargo capacity, 1m tonnes liquid bulk capacity and ro-ro facilities with 50,000 ceu capacity.
The multiple facilities will include administration buildings, workshops, warehouses and authority buildings, along with extensive infrastructure development including roads, utlities and security systems.
