AP Moller-Maersk has reported a 65% increase in operating profit to US$6.5bn as the company has seen growth across all segments to record the third-best financial year in its history.
Results were driven by higher container demand and elevated freight rates in the ocean segment, top line and volume growth in terminals and solid improvements in most logistics & services products.
Across its business, Maersk increased revenue by 9% to US$55.5bn, improved EBITDA by 26% to US$12.1bn and capital expenditure (CAPEX) grew by 15% to US$4.2bn.
