DP World moves forward with deep-water port project in Democratic Republic of Congo

DP World has selcted Mota-Engil, a renowned and experienced construction company, to lead the development of the Banana Port, DP World’s deep-water port project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Located in Kongo Central province along the Atlantic coast, the Banana Port represents a major investment in the DRC’s infrastructure.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, group chairman and CEO of DP World, said: “The Banana Port is a transformative project that will reshape the trade and logistics landscape of the DCR.
