Dole Fresh Fruit Co upgrades reefer fleet with Star Cool 1.1 units
Dole Fresh Fruit Co. has ordered 400 Star Cool 1.1 units, including the Sekstant telematics solution, as part of Dole’s ongoing efforts to adapt to the evolving demands of the reefer market.
The Star Cool 1.1 model was released back in September 2024 and, since production start in October 2024, the company has sold over 36,000 Star Cool 1.1’s sold.
Dole chose to upgrade its fleet to this newer model in order to adhere to the significant changes within the global shipping industry driven by environmental regulations, technological developments and shifting trade patterns.
