New Konecranes STS cranes on their way to CMP

Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) is set to receive two new ship-to-shore (STS) cranes from Konecranes in Finland for its new container terminal in Ydre Nordhavn.

The cranes will be shipped one at a time to the new terminal and are expected to arrive a few weeks apart, with the first crane expected to arrive early April.

Povl Dolleris Røjkjær Ungar, COO at CMP, said: “The cranes’ journey to Denmark takes about four days, followed by a few days at the quay for securing and preparing for installation on the designated crane tracks at the container terminal.
