The Port of Rotterdam has launched Carbonbid, an initiative that allows companies to receive financial support for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the port area.
The port authority aims to lower the threshold for companies to accelerate the implementation of its ideas for sustainability and Carbonbid is part of a larger package of initiatives to make the port climate neutral and future-proof.
The scheme focuses on emissions in the Rotterdam port area, both from logistics and industry, except for emissions covered by the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS).
