The Port of Savannah achieved a 17% increase in container trade to 515,000 teu in April, which was the Georgia Ports Authority’s (GPA) busiest April on record and the third monthly record in a row for the port.
In the previous months, Garden City Terminal handled nearly 480,000 teu in February and 534,000 teu in March.
For the fiscal year to date, Savannah has moved 4.8m teu, an 11% increase of 483,000 teu compared to the same period last year.
