TecPlata integrates bi-train truck into operations

TecPlata, International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s (ICTSI) business unit in Buenos Aires, Argentina and operator of the container terminal in the Port of La Plata, has received its first bi-train truck operated by Yusen Logistics on May 20. 

The bi-train is a transport truck with double semi-trailers connected by a central axle and enables transport of significantly more cargo in a single trip – up to 70% more than a traditional truck – at lower operational costs and with significantly reduced environmental impact. 

This vehicle configuration, authorised under strict regulations, optimises long-distance cargo transportation by enhancing efficiency, safety and sustainability.
