Port of Tanjung Pelepas continues record-breaking momentum with container handling milestone in May
The Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), a joint venture between Malaysia-based MMC Group and APM Terminals (APMT), beat its container handling record for a single month by hitting 1,269,389 teu in May.
For three months in a row PTP has exceeded its handling record, with a record of 1,183,759 teu in March and 1,215,751 teu in April in this year.
The consecutive record handling months have helped to reinforce PTP’s status as one of the leading transhipment hubs in Asia.
