Klaipėda Port en route to surpass 1m teu mark by end of 2025

The Port of Klaipėda expects to surpass 1m teu handled in 2025 as container volumes were up 38% in the first half of the year.

Nearly 700,000 teu was handled during this period, with imports and exports quite balanced at 40% and 41%, respectively, while the share of transhipment grew to nearly one-fifth of total container volumes.

In terms of total cargo, nearly 19m tonnes were handled at Klaipėda Port in comparison, up 16% year-on-year, with positive trends observed across most cargo segments.
