Indian container terminal invests in 30 Konecranes RTGs with E-hybrid technology
A greenfield terminal in India has ordered 30 Konecranes rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes which are designed to run entirely on onboard batteries charged by grid electricity, thus ensuring efficient energy consumption and zero tailpipe emissions.
Booked in Q3 2025, delivery of the RTGs are scheduled for Q1 2027 which will underpin yard operations and help to drive the terminal’s eco-efficiency mission.
