Houthis signal an end to attacks on Israel and Red Sea shipping

The Houthis have signalled a stop to their attacks on Israel and commercial ships in the Red Sea, following a ceasefire in Gaza, although the risk to shipping remains.

In a letter sent to Hamas’ military wing, Kata’ib al Qassam, by the newly appointed Houthi chief of staff, Yousef Hassan Al Madani, published on X.com, the Houthis announced a suspension of maritime operations against Israel and declared an end to its naval blockade of Israeli ports.

The ceasefire has been in effect since October 10 and, since then, no attacks have been claimed by the Houthis.
