The Thessaloniki Port Authority (ThPA S.A.) has signed the construction works contract for the expansion of the port infrastructure of Pier 6 container terminal at the Port of Thessaloniki.
The project will strengthen the infrastructure of ThPA S.A. with an additional length of 513 m, a width of 306.5 m, and the significant deepening of the navigation channel and the vessels’ manoeuvreing area, for the safe mooring of ultra large container vessels (ULCVs).
The signing of the contract signals the start of the main construction phase, with an implementation period of 40 months and a total budget of €195.6m (US$225.7m).
