Terex Port Solutions (TPS) has received an order for a TerexGottwald Model 5 G HMK 5506 mobile harbour crane and three Terex CS 45 KS reachstackers from Hans Lehmann in Lübeck, Germany. The machines will start operating mid-December to coincide with the opening of the new Cargo Terminal Lübeck (CTL) on the north bank of the River Trave. New Zealand’s Lyttelton Port of Christchurch (LPC) has recently installed wireless sensor technology from Identec Solutions and partner Advantage PressurePro to provide real-time condition monitoring for tyres on its straddle carriers. A subsidiary of PSA International (PSA) has acquired stakes in a new container terminal company in Lianyungang Port in Jiangsu Province, China. John Reinhart chosen for VPA’s top job

John Reinhart

John Reinhart has been appointed the new executive director and CEO of Virginia Port Authority (VPA) and will be the fourth person to hold the position since VPA’s Hampton Roads container terminals were unified under The Port of Virginia in 1982. He takes over from Rodney Oliver, the agency’s CFO who has held the position on an interim basis since September 2012 and his effective date will be in February 2014. Read More »
