The Swedish port of Gothenburg has taken delivery of 12 new straddle carriers.
In a statement, APM Terminals (APMT) which operates APMT Gothenburg, said the delivery would increase storage capacity by 40% and increase productivity, with the ability to lift two 20 ft containers simultaneously.
The final two machines were delivered last week and the oldest of Gothenburg’s 38 straddle carriers will now be phased out.
