Last year, one in three ships calling the Port of Gothenburg received an environmental discount on port charges, representing an 83% increase on 2015.
The port rewards vessels classified as green according to industry environmental indexes, the Environmental Ship Index (ESI) and Clean Shipping Index (CSI).
In total, 75 vessels received a 10% discount on port charges based on gross tonnage compared to 41 in 2015.
